Chapel 1949

This photo was taken on 17 December 1949, at the wedding of Florence Cooper and Harold Pierce. Ervin K. Warren is at the organ, Mildred Cooper is seated in the choir loft, Roy Cooper, Sr is officiating, and standing left to right are Jo Ann Hardy, Florence Cooper, Harold Pierce, Roy (Eddie) Cooper, Jr and unknown. Several other family members are seated in the front rows: T.E. and Myrtie Lee Cooper, Gene Cooper holding Don Cooper, Mary Alice (Cooper) Warren holding Ken Warren. Not sure, but I believe Ethel (Cooper) Hardy is seated next to Mary Alice.

This picture was apparently taken from the (now enclosed) balcony of the chapel. The ceiling fans were the only available cooling for many years after this picture was taken.

I missed her earlier, but Kay Louise Wright is standing next to Jo Ann Hardy. (Kay's mother was Mildred (Cooper) Wright, who is seated in the choir loft.)

That is me with an arm around Ken's waist at the wedding!   Now I am living with Ken and Jaime in their home in Tyler!
